Public-Private Partnership Projects in Bangladesh: The Performance of Public Sector

The government of Bangladesh recognizes public-private partnerships (PPPs) as a strong catalyst for implementing infrastructure projects. study conducted to assess the performance public sector and measure cost service with quality in projects under PPP. survey focused on 35 nongovernment officials from PPP agencies academicians using structured questionnaire. was assessed 16 selected indicators. Among them Performances case land acquisition infrastructure, exemption taxes import duties, linked project, addressing socioeconomic issues were good enough. findings also revealed that sector’s performances coordination, environmental relationship communications, interorganizational trust satisfaction level private are low. Besides this providing increases but customers satisfied higher paid services. Considering views starting weak lower inter-organizational trust, sector, Government should take initiative improving through open dialogue developing social audit model implementation.
